New Shop Opening Soon!!

もうすぐ！新しいshop open! New Menu! New Soup! New Noodles! Ivan Ramen Plus! ゼひ来て見て下さい！

九月下旬。がんばります！

We will be opening our second shop in the latter half of September. It will be in Kyodo, one minute from the train station. (Kyodo is in Setagaya Ku, on the Odakyu line, 12 minutes from Shinjuku on the express) The new shop will be called Ivan Ramen Plus, with a completely different menu, new soup, noodles, chashuu, etc... Hope to see you there. Will post more updates soon!

Ivan Ramen will close on August 3rd, 4th, and 5th for a brief summer break. We return to our regular schedule for the rest of the summer. We look forward to seeing you later this week.

Hiyashi Chukka is a classic cold noodle dish, a sour soy vinaigrette poured over noodles with ham, lettuce, chopped egg and cucumber served in the summer here in Tokyo.

The Ivan Ramen version has a house made plum vinegar dressing with a little chili oil kick, roasted tomatoes, lettuce and seasonal pickles, topped off with grilled pork belly! It's as good as it sounds so give it a try.

There are only 20 portions a day at a 1000 yen. Look forward to seeing you this summer!

It's time for my annual winter tonkotsu ramen. Considering that we're a chicken and dashi soup shop, it's always fun to try my hand at tonkotsu! I think it's a tasty dish so if you have a chance come out and try a bowl! I made a new noodle to go along with it! 15 bowls daily. Hope to see you!

Hey New York Times readers....

As a native New Yorker who has been reading the times since elementary school, it was a thrill to be included in those pages, and most importantly in a story about ramen. Although my site is not really well balanced for english speakers (99% of my customers are Japanese), I love when fellow gaijin come to eat at my shop. I do my best to make Ivan Ramen as accessible as possible so any time you find yourself in Tokyo, please consider stopping by. I have received many emails over the 2.5 years we've been open and always do my best to get you here in one piece! Feel free to write, I'll do my best to answer. Ramen is of course a personal obsession and it's always fun sharing my passion. Hope to see any and all that are willing to venture outside the city circle! (Not that far really.)
